Dr. J. Davis VanderVeen, Ph.D.

I am a fully licensed clinical psychologist in Utah. I am also licensed to provide telehealth services through the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT), which as of December 2021 includes: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and West Virginia. Several other states have pending legislation to be added to the PSYPACT license in the coming months and years.

I was born and raised in Clarkston, MI a small suburb of Detroit. I completed my undergraduate degree at Hope College in Holland, MI, studying Psychology and Neuroscience. I earned my Ph.D. and Master's degree in clinical psychology from Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis (IUPUI). I completed a one year internship with the Salt Lake City Veterans Healthcare Administration and completed one year of postdoctoral training in Rehabilitation Psychology and Neuropsychology at the University of Michigan.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time playing tennis and golf, playing the piano, skiing, hiking, and spending time chasing my Vizsla, Baker, in the beautiful outdoors.
